Newsletter / Squared Lemons

What you'll get

Short, direct emails on the AI decisions that actually matter for your business. The kind of stuff that doesn't make it into LinkedIn posts or vendor pitch decks.

  • What's genuinely working for SMEs right now (and what's quietly failing)
  • How to structure your business so AI tools actually stick
  • The mistakes we see companies making over and over
  • Occasional deep dives on specific tools, workflows, or strategies

Why this exists

Most AI advice is written for enterprise teams with dedicated data science departments. That's useless if you run a 30-person recruitment firm or a manufacturing business with two people in IT.

We work with companies like yours every day. We see what actually moves the needle and what ends up as another abandoned login. This newsletter is where we share that — openly, without trying to sell you anything.

Who writes it

Jonathan Gill, founder of Squared Lemons. Before starting the consultancy, Jonathan spent years building and shipping AI-driven products. He writes every issue himself — no ghostwriters, no marketing team, no ChatGPT-generated fluff.

The tone is the same as the rest of this site: direct, specific, and respectful of your time. If an issue doesn't have something genuinely useful to say, it doesn't get sent.

What you won't get

  • Breathless hype about the latest model release
  • Vague "10 ways AI will transform your business" listicles
  • Drip sequences, upsells, or affiliate links
  • More than one email a fortnight (usually less)

Your inbox is already full. We're not here to add noise.
